Nutritional Counselling

You don’t have to control your thoughts, you just have to stop letting them control you.

What is a Nutritional Counsellor?

A specialist with expert training in both nutrition and counselling. A Nutritional Counsellor assists individuals, families and groups to develop food practises consistent with the nutritional needs of the body.

What is Nutritional Counselling?

Nutritional Counselling (NC) is a form of talk therapy. It’s an opportunity for you to discuss and work through any food/health-related issues.

NC is a supportive process, in which client and counsellor form a collaborative relationship to alter food patterns, adjust longstanding beliefs and modify attitudes about food.

Nutrition professionals work to increase knowledge, influence motivation and guide the development of skills required for dietary behaviours.

‘Say it in English doc’

You know what you ‘should’ be doing, but you’re just not doing it – sound familiar? Or perhaps your habits are so deeply ingrained that you have no idea how to adjust them. Or maybe with all of the information available to us (thanks google), you’re so confused about food that you now have no idea how to actually eat! And why is it that you spend so much time and money on your health but you’re still stuck-in-a-rut?

Enter: Nutritional Counselling.

A Nutritional Counsellor takes the time to understand and analyse your lifestyle in order to assist you in achieving your health goals. This unique approach helps to break old habits so you can create new ones.

What do I get out of it?

  • The tools to achieve your nutrition and health goals.
  • The education and motivation to overcome any barriers which are stopping you from achieving your goals.
  • Sustainable, long-term advice and recommendations.
  • Balance: your Nutritional Counsellor will work with you to find stability and success.
  • Re-learn how to find enjoyment in eating without feeling guilty or worrying about your body shape.
  • Education on achieving optimal health and vitality.
  • Happiness: rediscovering how sensational you actually are!

How does it work?

Nutritional counselling is an ongoing process with a minimum of x3 60-minute sessions within a 1-month period.

You will work 1:1 with your counsellor who will provide guidance, support and advice to assist you in achieving your health goals.

Counselling can be a powerful tool for positive change, self-awareness and personal growth.
